AI for QSP: Meet the Thales Agent in Composer

Quantitative systems pharmacology (QSP) is a notoriously challenging discipline, and has traditionally required complex software to model and predict various scenarios.

But now, AI agents are flattening the steep software learning curve. Join us for this exciting webinar to see how the Thales agent in Composer allows QSP scientists to build both bespoke and platform models, set parameter constraints, generate custom plots, and more—all through plain language prompts.

Presenters Celeste Vallejo and Clifton Anderson will demonstrate how the agent allows users to focus more on the modeling and less on platform specifics, and share case studies of the Thales agent in action. Attendees will have the chance to get their questions answered in real-time during our live Q&A.

If you’ve been wondering what AI means for the future of QSP modeling—or for the future careers of researchers like yourself—you won’t want to miss this webinar.

Celeste Vallejo

Sr. Scientific Product Manager
Simulations Plus

Dr. Vallejo’s research focuses on using mathematical models to answer a broad range of questions with varying data availability. She has worked with small, mechanistic models of polio transmission to understand the population characteristics that lead to prolonged asymptomatic spread to large, neural networks used to predict hand position from EMG signals. She holds several patents in areas related to modeling and model development including an algorithm to access large-scale model uncertainty, a large-scale simulation model of the healthcare system, and the development of modeling techniques to predict substance impairment.

Dr. Vallejo received her Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of Florida. She did her postdoctoral training jointly at the Mathematical Biosciences Institute at the Ohio State University and at Battelle Memorial Institute. Prior to becoming a scientist at Simulations Plus, she was a founder of the QSP/PBPK division at Nuventra. As one aspect of this position, she created models for both small and large molecules for a variety of therapeutic areas.

Clifton Anderson

Scientist II
Simulations Plus

Clifton is a chemical engineer. As an undergrad at BYU, he made catalysts for CO2 upcycling and enjoyed using the electron microscopes and programming spreadsheets to help lab mates. His Master’s work focused on optimizing a microfluidic device to identify antibiotic resistance in septic blood, blending simulation with bench work, and 3D printing.

Clifton found his way into QSP as an engaging trifecta of math, biology, and statistics and has supported autoimmune and immuno-oncology trials. In his free time, Clifton is known for enjoying a good plot and snuggling with his kids.
